Finished or just beginning.
We finally completed the shelter and fencing for Addison's pony last weekend. On Friday I took Addison to my parents' for the weekend and brought her pony home. Jose' seems to be adjusting well. He would really like to play with the dogs, but the dogs are afraid of him.
Yesterday when Addison came home from grandma's house I took her down to see Jose'. She wasn't very excited. I was holding her so that she would be at eye level with the pony, but she screamed and arched her back and didn't want anything to do with him. So, I made her take a nap.
After a three hour nap, it was time to feed all the animals. Addison was much more willing to interact with Jose' this time. She helped her dad put the lead rope on his halter and bring him in from the grass. I think that she is mostly interested in the shiny snap on the end of the rope.
Addison thought that Jose's ball made a pretty cool toy too. Check out those super cute little paddock boots that Addison is wearing :)
A very big THANK YOU to the Sanders family - especially JC and Cindy, for letting this wonderful pony come to live with us. Jose' has lived with them for 17 years and is considered part of the family. Jose' has taught so many little kids to ride, I can't even count them all. We are so luck to have such a great pony for Addison. THANK YOU Sanders Family.

A nap always makes you feel better about a huge beast much bigger than yourself! I wish I could do that, take a nice little nap when things are too scary!
What a fun fun day! Addison will come to love Jose and you won't be able to keep her away from him!
