Sick Dog or Child?

Addison went back to the doctor yesterday. Her cough was getting worse and she was rubbing her head more. The doctor said her ears didn't look any better so she prescribed a different antibiotic. The doctor also told us that we needed to make some saline drops and put them in Addison's nose then use the snot sucker to suck out all the snot. Joe asked if we could use the saline in a saline IV bag. The doctor got a strange look on her face kind of like...why would you have one of those on hand, but said yeah..same stuff. Cool- easy for us.

We've also found that giving Addison a teaspoon of medicine doesn't work very well. She tries to grab the spoon and it just goes right down her shirt. Joe went outside to his vet truck and came back with a syringe. If you look at all the stuff out of Joe's vet truck laying on my counter right now, you wouldn't know if my dog is sick or if my child is sick! Those dog restraint methods that Joe uses at work have also come in handy when we are trying to squirt saline down Addison's nose and suck out the snot! Poor girl she really doesn't like the snot sucker.

I love it Lindsay!
So funny, but so true with those vets!
We have to give Kendal some meds every night and morning that tastes totally nasty. The syringe trick comes in very handy for that and even the cough med she got last night! I will see what restraints he has, that is a good idea!
I hope she gets feeling better soon!

Joe, just what kind of bottle is that??
